How do I install your downloads?
1. Click the download link and save the file to your computer. I recommend having a folder on your desktop to download to- then install them to your game from that folder.
2. Use WinRAR (Windows) or Stuffit (Mac) to extract the .package file(s) from the .rar you downloaded.
3. Cut and paste the extracted .packages into your download folder:
Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Windows Vista: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Mac: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads

Why isn't your stuff showing up in my game?
Good question, to which I don't have a good answer. See the links to MTS above. When I make a new object I clone a completely *basegame item. My SimPE is set up so that only basegame objects load, which means that anything I makeshould work in any game configuration. Some functions might be missing- like tinkering with a TV- if you have later EP's installed. But everything I make should be showing up for everyone. When I recolor, I don't have any control over how the creator made the mesh. Unless a creator says otherwise, I assume their meshes to be basegame only.
Can you help me get it to work?
If something I made isn't showing up for you, let me know and I'll help you see if we can get it to work right. But please do try the MTS links above first. The answer to your problem is most likely answered in one of those links already.
Can I modify or convert your meshes? (Maybe not a FAQ, but I forgot to cover this in my policy, lol)
You can modify my meshes, I would like it if you let me know. You can also convert my meshes to The Sims 3. I have the game, don't like it and don't plan to ever convert any of my meshes.
Can I request a recolor or an object?
I'd rather not take requests. I did at one time- at that time I was unemployed. I work full time now (and I work strange hours), have 3 teenaged boys, 2 cats, a home.. I really don't have time to work on anything other than the ideas that pop into my head. And I sure do have enough of those, lol. There is a creators-who-take-requests thread at Mod The Sims, in the WCIF section.
*Note: If I need an object from an EP or SP, I set SimPE up so that needed EP/SP loads, extract the mesh (like I did for some tables I made)- then reset SimPE to load only basegame items. From there, when it's time to create the new .package, I clone a basegame item and go on from there.
